R&M Williams Opens Croft Street Site to DWP Job Seekers
Our Croft Street, Swansea site recently opened its doors to a group of job seekers referred by the Department for Work and Pensions, giving them a real, hands-on look at life in construction.
The visit gave participants the chance to tour our site offices, meet the team, and learn about the range of roles that keep a construction project running, from surveying and project management to site operations and social value.
For many, it may have been their first real insight into what a career in construction looks like day to day. That’s exactly the point.
We believe opportunities like this matter. Construction is an industry that offers genuine career progression, variety, and purpose, but it isn’t always visible to people who are navigating a return to work or exploring new directions. Opening our sites to groups like this is one small way we can change that.
The visit also gave participants a chance to see the progress of our ongoing works for City & County of Swansea firsthand, a project that is making a real difference to the local area.
A big thank you to Simeon Reed, Steven Williams, Freya Church, and Danielle Thomas for leading the day and making it happen.
