Supplier collaboration and social value take centre stage at Valley Veterans Falklands memorial event
Contracts Manager Scott Hughes and Social Value Manager Freya Church visited Caerphilly County Borough Council this week to donate a large collection of items in support of the council’s ongoing initiative to help low income families across the borough.
R&M Williams has been delivering painting and voids work on the council’s framework for some time, and the visit reflected a desire to do more for the people living in those properties.
Working with valued supplier Lyreco Group, the team were able to significantly increase the scale of the donation, with Lyreco contributing additional items of their own. The partnership meant more support reached more people across the borough.
Purchasing Manager Nathan Williams played a key role in making the collaboration happen, supporting both the social value delivery and the supplier relationship that made it possible.
Freya Church said: “This is a great example of how easy collaboration and strong relationships can go that little bit further. Together we achieve much more.”
R&M Williams welcomes conversations with suppliers who want to get involved in social value activity on their contracts. Get in touch to find out more.
